A Bird is the Dream of a Plant

A bird is the dream of a plant.

The Oak's leaves fly free in the Starling's migration.

Autumn winds blowing the dead to other climes.

The talons of birds are the stunted growth of vines.

The invisible flight of the Grape's reverie

is written in its curling climb.

The Heron's leg has double knees

One forward and one back.

An echo of the tiny exodus of the Wisteria

Pulsing around its trellis, following the rotation of

cosmic bodies, turning round the planet.

The memory of the fantasy of plants

Is left behind in the silent warmth of stones.

And the corpse of the Squirrel's forgotten deeds.

The tones of the spirit speak in the growth of plants.

The bells in the dreams of the Chicory ring out in the voice of the Bluebird,

While the souls of birds migrate around the I AM of the human being.

The World Word fulfills the secret wishes of the Cardinal and Scarlet Tanager

Through the I of the human being, which is the goal of their yearning to roost.

Stars are the feathers of the Gods' Wings

Cosmic hair on the foliage of human souls.

Under which circulate the Possum and Weasel,

Thistle and Kestrel,

All turning around Christ's I.
